Spring is in the air....and the rain is pouring
When you live in Galicia, you soon learn to live with the seasons. When it rains (it usually pours) you stay in and make sure you have enough of everything in your house.
When the weather is nice you go to town for a stroll and a coffee, or you go on a daytrip. We´ve had a lot of rain, but also several weeks with beautiful dry, sunny and warm weather. I´ve cut the grass of our very big garden and cleaned up all the winter leftovers. It looks very nice again and the dogs enjoy it very much.
Over the last months we have also been enjoying our new car. We´ve been to Coruña because there is a very large and beautiful shopping mall with a lot of restaurants and a Swedish home furniture store. We are planning a trip to Valenca, one of the most beautiful fortificated old cities in Portugal and it is only about 130 kilometres away. I will be sure to take a lot of pictures for the blog.
Besides keeping ourselves busy with the regular housework, the dogs and enjoying our fast internet, I´ve been doing something quit different: the curtain-project. In the distant past I did a three-year couture course, which means I can design, draw patterns of the designs and make my own clothing or whatever needs to be made on the sewing machine. This time I kept myself busy with the “easier” stuff, curtains for upstairs and downstairs. It was a lot of work but it turned out beautiful, even better then expected.
