Daily life in 2025

Keeping busy....

So far we´ve had a beautiful summer, pleasant temperatures and the occasional heatwave. It is very nice and we love it. You do the things necessarily you have to do in the morning, until about eleven to twelve. Outside depending on whether you are in the sun or the shadow up until that time it is very enjoyable.

In the afternoon you have to slow your pace and keep calm. You also have to make sure that you do not have to be in the kitchen too long to make the dinner, because it is very hot…..

Then around about eight in the evening the temperature is starting to be pleasant again.
Sleeping is do-able, since the temperatures in the night are between 10 and 15 degrees.

We´ve allready had a 7 day heatwave and next week we will get another one, onwards from Sunday with 35⁰, Monday 39⁰, Tuesday 37⁰, Wednesday 36⁰, Thursday 35⁰, Friday 34⁰, so a litle bit tropical....

Fantastic weather for the Funfair, Orchestras and Donkey Race which is always celebrated on the weekend with the 1st of August in our neighbour village of Escairon.

There is a great shopping mall in Coruña, with a very big Ikea…we love it. It also has a fantastic Chinese restaurant nearby called Wok City, and we almost love that even more than Ikea.

So those are all good reasons to take every now and then a trip to Coruña, even though it is 180 kilometres.

The day before Herman got his braces we went there, to have the ultimate dinner without ......(the braces)

We are very fortunate to have found a very good dentist in Monforte de Lemos, we are with them for over 15 years.

In the next three years we are going to see them once a month, Herman has gotten braces that need to be checked and tuned regularly. Keeps us busy…

At least once a week we make some time for our hobby and go to the shooting range
