Winter is coming

The last week we´ve had a lot of necessary rain and we are hoping to get a whole lot more. We´ve even had our first night frost. Over the last months we´ve topped-off our oil tank for the central heating and have started to buy some pellets. This is almost half of what we normally need during the winter, so we are well stocked.

It is pretty normal here to go from one summerday when you go out in plain clothes to the next day with cold temperatures and you do need a winter coat when you go out. Over the years we´ve experienced that regularly.
But saying goodbye to the summer is a good thing, it has been long , (hot) and beautifull.
It is nice again when the rain is ticking on the windows or it is white outside because it has snowed. There will be a new summer next year.
