The first aniverseries...
Herman had his birthday at the end of January, and only a few days later we had another anniversary.
Today we have been living in this country, in this house, for 15 years. I remember coming over here as is if was yesterday. I did not know a single word Spanish (and now I am pretty fluent), and I had never been in an other country for more than a couple of days. In 2007 we sold our house in the Netherlands, and started out in a ruin in the middle of newhere (I allways call it "the end of the world". In those 15 years we´ve made ourselves a home, learned the language and the customs, and became more and more Spanish and less Dutch. We´ve learned a lot, met a lot of new people and made some new friends.
Looking back we can tell you that it has been a great adventure for the both of us (with its ups and downs) which we have never regretted.
